"ACO" ACT Communities Online.

"ACO Service" the services and facilities provided by the Service Provider, including the ACO web site facilities.

"Community Organisations" refers to Community Groups and other organisations providing and maintaining information on the ACO Service.

"Service Moderators" refers to those moderating and maintaining Community Organisations and other contributors' information on the ACO Service.

"Service Provider" refers to Citizen's Advice Bureau.

"Service Sponsors" refer to those providing support to the ACO Service through sponsorship, promotion and other related activities.



Materials on or associated with the ACO Service are protected by the Copyright Laws of Australia; all rights are reserved.

Except where otherwise noted, copyright of materials submitted and maintained by Community Organisations or other third party organisations, is owned by the submitting party.

The Service Provider owns copyright of material not submitted by Community Organisations or other third party organisations.

When you access the ACO Service:

  • You may download, display, print and copy, any material from the ACO Service, in unaltered form only;
  • You must either include a copy of this copyright notice with any material you use from the ACO Service or you must provide a link to this copyright notice;
  • You must ensure that any reproduced material includes clear attribution to All Communities Online by inclusion of the ACO logo and web address ( which must wherever possible be a link;
  • Providing the above conditions are met, you may republish unaltered material from the ACO Service for both commercial and non-commercial purposes; and
  • Except as permitted above you must not copy, adapt, publish, distribute or commercialise any material contained on the ACO Service without the explicit written permission of the Service Provider.

Community Organisations are solely responsible for the information they enter and maintain on the ACO Service. They are also responsible for registering with the ACO Service and ensuring that all information about their organisation and its events is up to date and accurate. Community Organisations are also responsible for ensuring that copyright, privacy and confidentiality are respected and that all applicable copyright and privacy laws are respected. The Service Provider makes the ACO Service available on the understanding that users exercise their own skill and care with respect to its use. Before relying on the material in any important matter users should carefully evaluate the accuracy, completeness and relevance of the information for their purposes and should obtain appropriate professional advice relevant to their particular circumstances.

The material on the ACO Service includes content, views and recommendations of third parties that do not necessarily reflect the views of the Service Provider or Service Moderators or indicate a commitment to a particular course of action. The Service Provider and the Service Moderators do not provide any guarantees as to the validity, reliability, accuracy, timeliness or appropriateness of the services or information provided via the ACO Service.

The Service Provider accepts the obligation to use its best endeavours to make good any material that is made unavailable though a data processing error or system failure that is under its control. The Service Provider reserves the right to modify any material including for the provision of additional services, as part of system upgrade or reconfiguration activities. The Service Provider accepts no other obligations and makes no other warranties.

Links to other web sites are inserted for convenience and do not constitute endorsement of material at those sites or any associated organisation product or service. It is the responsibility of users to make their own decisions about the validity, accuracy, timeliness, currency, reliability and correctness of the information at those sites.

By accessing information from or through the ACO Service you waive and release the Service Provider, the Service Moderator, the Service Sponsors and Community Organisations to the full extent permitted by law from any and all claims relating to the material made available through the ACO Service.

In no event shall the Service Provider, the Service Moderator, the Service Sponsors or Community Organisations be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, data or profits whether in an action of contract, negligence or other tortious action, rising out of or in connection with the use or performance of this information.

The Service Provider reserves the right to amend the Copyright and Disclaimer and all other content on the ACO Service at any time.
