Description

Angie will contest a seat in Molonglo in the October 20 ACT Elections.

Angie Drake is a strong believer in equality, a fair go and in building a society where people can access the same rights and services regardless of who they are, or where they come from.

Angie is ready to listen to her community and act where she needs to. Having lived in Canberra since 1985, she is now raising her two children who attend school in South Canberra with her husband Paul who is a small business owner. She hopes one day her children will also make the decision to settle in Canberra and raise their own families here.

Angie has worked for the ACT Government for the last ten years and understands the important local issues. This work has extended to driving policy initiatives that will improve the services that are provided to benefit Canberrans. Angie knows that Canberrans want to enjoy fair access to quality health care, quality education, and of course, meaningful employment opportunities. At a local level, she knows the Labor Government’s commitment to providing services at a neighbourhood level make Canberra a great community.

Angie’s favourite part of being a candidate is meeting and working with the local community to ensure that Canberra remains the best that it can be for the future. Angie is a part of the Labor team in Molonglo because she wants to make Canberra the best it can be.
